Don't underestimate the distance of the trailer's air path
The air reservoir is an essential part of the truck. For the trailer with ABS system, the location of the air reservoir is also an important factor to be considered in the installation process. Today, let's follow brother Hu to see what knowledge we have about the location of the air reservoir.
Different from the conventional braking system, the braking principle of ABS system is more complex. After the system sends the command, it needs the rapid response of the wheel. Therefore, the trailer equipped with ABS needs to redesign the air circuit first, so that the closer the ABS solenoid valve is to the controlled wheel, the better. Only in this way can the response of the wheel be faster.
The trailer to be equipped with ABS comes with two air cylinders, which are respectively located above the first axle and the second axle. In order to shorten the air pipeline of the rear axle, the original air reservoir above the first axle needs to be moved to the rear third axle.
It's very easy to remove the gas cylinder. Just screw off the original pipeline and then use gas welding
After welding the air cylinder, you can start the next re wiring work, so that the two air cylinders on the trailer, under the four channel ABS, can control the wheel state in time. In addition, in addition to the short distance, the gas pipeline between each group of wheels should also be consistent.
The ultimate goal of moving the air cylinder is to minimize the distance between the ABS solenoid valve, the air reservoir and the brake cylinder, so as to reduce the control distance and reaction time between the air channels, meet the demand of ABS system for higher braking reaction speed, and achieve the best use effect.
