According to different manufacturing materials, there are three types of brake lining: asbestos, semi-metal and non-asbestos.
1）Although asbestos is cheap, it does not meet environmental protection requirements and has poor thermal conductivity. Normally, repeated braking will cause heat to accumulate in the brake pads. When the brake pads become hot, its braking performance will change. To produce the same friction and braking force, more brakes are required. If the brake pads reach A certain degree of heat will cause the brake to fail.
2）The main advantage of semi-metal is that it has a higher braking temperature due to its good thermal conductivity. The disadvantage is that a higher brake pressure is required to achieve the same braking effect, especially in a low-temperature environment with a high metal content, which will wear out the brake disc and generate greater noise. Braking heat is transferred to the brake caliper and its components, which will accelerate the aging of the brake caliper, piston seal ring and return spring. Improperly handled heat reaching the following temperature levels will cause brake shrinkage and brake fluid boiling.
3）The non-asbestos material can brake freely at any temperature; reduce wear, noise, and extending the service life of brake drum; protect the life of the driver;
